||Vice President of Sales & Marketing (Powdered Metals Mfg.)

Directs and coordinates activities of the sales departments at all facilities. Aids chief executive officer in formulating and administering organization strategic sales plan by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Participates in formulating and developing long range goals and objectives.
Directs and coordinates activities of the sales departments in each division for further attainment of goals and objectives.
Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives.
Confers with chief executive officer and other leadership members to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
Identifies market trends for our products and understands the future of all current products as well as identifying new markets that fit the strategic plan.
Responsibility for the overall direction and management of the sales departments within all locations. In addition, is responsible for the direction and management of the Business Development Manager. Understands the market and customers that we serve and has the responsibility to ensure that the team is satisfying our customers’ needs, while meeting the business goals and objectives.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, Master's Degree preferred; four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook; Visual Manufacturing software; and Access Database software.
