The SAW FILTER Design Engineer is responsible for the successful execution of transitioning released designs from Design Engineering through operations manufacturing.
The Product Engineer will be involved in the definition of test methods and execution from concept through obsolescence. Other responsibilities include product yield and RMA analysis.
Works with design engineering to understand specific application requirements and product specifications.
Manage product lifecycle from product introduction through obsolescence.
Participate on product design and development review meetings.
Support cost reduction initiatives
Responsible for receiving product transfers from Design Engineering and supporting the technical aspects of manufacturing the product.
Develop and implement product assembly and test functional specifications including testing diagrams and fixtures with the assistance of other engineering resources.
Investigates and analyzes system failures, RMAs and other quality problems and recommends solutions.
Responsible for product manufacturing yields.
Identify potential manufacturing operator skill deficiencies and coordinate with Operations Manager and Quality Manager suitable training.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
OTHER Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement test and assembly fixtures, optimize testing preparedness of Manufacturing Operators.
Initiate ECNís to address design or Manufacturing related deficiencies.
Provide direction to technicians and Electro/Mechanical Designers as needed.
Plays a role in specific technology
Performs other related tasks as requested by the Manager
Provide Customer support on products in field.
Provides information and quotation support to Sales and Marketing.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent experience AND
5 years-experience in Product Engineering, Design Engineering or equivalent OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience
