Description
The Engineering Manager is responsible for managing a team of engineers to translate and design highly technical concepts and specifications into complex power conversion and distribution applications as well as directing and coordinating product designs.

We are recruiting an Electrical Engineer to be the Engineering Manager for our Power conversion and distribution products. The ideal candidate possess the ability to design AC/DC power conversion and distribution hardware. To develop block diagrams and specifications for distribution for specific circuit design. To perform circuit design and analysis of power distribution and conversion equipment.

Candidates should be familiar with computer simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, Ansoft, MatLab, Solid Works, and other CAD software. In addition, this individual should be able to perform a program execution advisory role along with establishing standard work, processes, and guidelines, for the design and development teams across engineering group.

Candidates will work with Product Line Management Team, Sales team and other customer facing functions to help identify future products for domestic and international military and governmental agencies. Establish relationships with customer engineering development as well as IR&D groups to help steer development activities for future business growth.

Provides direction and manages Process Engineering and Product Design
Organizes and controls all technical engineering projects. Plans for the development of new products and processes driven by customer needs and specifications and monitors progress based on development goals.
Devises and implements value engineering and quality improvement projects.
Monitors products to established quality levels and adjusts designs and processes to meet or exceed standards of timely completions, cost targets and technical performance.
Evaluates and recommends new technologies.
Responsible for the staffing and development of engineering personnel.
Provides feedback and coaching to engineering personnel.
Performs other process, product or materials related tasks as required by supervisor.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering AND
3 to 5 years in a manufacturing environment - preferably in an electronics environment or related, Managerial experience preferred OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.); Web proficiency.
Experience with Electronic Test Equipment, Production Equipment, and RF analysis equipment.
Excellent organizational skills; detail oriented

Knowledge of customer and military specifications
Ability to understand electrical and physical properties of materials
Ability to analyze and respond to situations promptly

Qualifications Must Have Power Distribution & Power Conversion experience.
