Cost Accountant
Our client , an industry leader in the their industry with the opening of a new facility in State College, PA. Due to this tremendous growth, we are currently seeking a versatile Senior Cost Accountant for our State College location.
Some principal responsibilities include:
Analyze actual manufacturings costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Administer the labor and overhead budgeting and budget variance analysis process.
Provide ad hoc cost analysis, key performance indicators, and decision making support to Operations and other staff members.
Administer the schedule of physical inventories and cycle counts, & the process of booking adjustments & analyzing variances.
Proactive in cost avoidance or cost reduction initiatives
The successful candidate will have the following skills:
Bachelorfs degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field.
minimum 5 years experience in cost accounting field.
Strong knowledge of Excel, Access, ERP systems (JDE/Peoplsoft a plus).
